What is the Panic Button?
The Panic Button is a safety feature built into every Boredom meetup. If you ever feel unsafe, one tap alerts three parties at the same time: your emergency contact (a person you set up in your profile), the venue or host you are meeting at, and the Boredom safety team. All three are notified instantly so help can come from multiple directions. It is free on every plan and always available during an active meetup.
Is Boredom safe to use?
Safety is built in from day one. We verify venues before listing them, protect your data, and include privacy controls, optional location sharing and report tools. You're always in control of what you share and who you meet.
Can I stay anonymous?
Yes. Choose how much you share. Boredom allows limited-profile use, and you can reveal more as you feel comfortable. Your identity is never shared without consent.
How do the matches work?
Matches are based on shared interests, availability, location and the activity you are after, focused on meaningful, real-world connections rather than endless swiping.
What makes a venue "verified"?
A verified venue has been reviewed by the Boredom team, with business registration checks, location verification and basic quality and safety standards. Verified venues display a badge so you can plan meetups with confidence.
How does payment work?
All payments are in Naira and secured by Paystack. You always see exactly what you're charged. For vendors, an 11% charge — comprising the Paystack transaction fee and the Boredom platform commission — is deducted automatically at checkout. The net amount is settled straight to your bank.
How can my business join?
Create a business profile on the Boredom dashboard. Once submitted, we review and verify your venue before it goes live. Early vendors get free listings and early-access features.
